These work just as well as more expensive pots for larger plants in container gardens and you can be creative in hiding the ugly pots. (I used to put mine behind prettier pots)

The shoe holder is a good idea where it isn’t too hot. You might want to drop a piece of brown cardboard in the front of each pouch before you add soil to add extra insulation so they don’t dry out as fast. Don’t use painted or dyed cardboard because they have chemicals you don’t want. You could also use rectangles cut from milk cartons instead of the cardboard.
