Yesterday I sat down and got dollar store crafty with just a few bucks worth of supplies. This Shark Bite Picture Frame will set you back about ten cents! Maybe less, depending on your stash. It&#8217;s easy, quick, and cute. Ready to find out how to make it?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/?s=shark&amp;x=0&amp;y=0\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13906\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/crafty-shark-week.jpg\" alt=\"crafty shark week at DollarStoreCrafts.com\" width=\"500\" height=\"113\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/crafty-shark-week.jpg 500w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/crafty-shark-week-300x68.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/crafty-shark-week-495x113.jpg 495w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Materials Needed:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A piece of blue craft foam or card stock, on hand or $.10 (10 sheets per pack at the dollar store)<\/li>\n<li>A piece of recycled white cardboard or card stock, on hand<\/li>\n<li>A piece of twine or ribbon, on hand<\/li>\n<li>Scissors, marker, and hot glue, on hand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Total: FREE and up<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I already had all this stuff on hand, so it was a freebie for me. If you don&#8217;t have some of these supplies, just get creative and substitute. You can paint a piece of cardboard blue or white if needed!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/diy-shark-frame-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33104\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/diy-shark-frame-3-580x376.jpg\" alt=\"DIY Shark Frame - made with recyclables. Cute &amp; easy! dollarstorecrafts.com\" width=\"580\" height=\"376\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1. Trace a rounded triangle shape on the blue craft foam sheet. I freehanded it. Draw a smaller rounded triangle inside the larger one.<\/p>\n<p>2. Cut out inside triangle.<\/p>\n<p>3. Trace shape onto white cardboard or card stock. I traced mine onto the printed side of the white cardboard so when I turned it over, the plain white side would be the side that showed on the frame. Add jagged teeth inside the small circle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/diy-shark-frame4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33105\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/diy-shark-frame4-580x376.jpg\" alt=\"DIY Shark Frame - made with recyclables. Cute &amp; easy! dollarstorecrafts.com\" width=\"580\" height=\"376\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. Cut out the traced shape on the white cardboard. Cut the outside first, then cut inside the small triangle, leaving the teeth for last. It&#8217;s easier to cut the teeth out when there&#8217;s a bigger hole already and you can just cut each tooth out one by one (instead of trying to zig-zag cut continuously).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/diy-shark-frame5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33106\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/diy-shark-frame5-580x376.jpg\" alt=\"DIY Shark Frame - made with recyclables. Cute &amp; easy! dollarstorecrafts.com\" width=\"580\" height=\"376\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. Glue blue foam to white cardboard background. Draw nostril holes on the shark!<\/p>\n<p>6. Turn the whole thing over and glue a loop onto the back of the frame for hanging. I glued an extra piece of ribbon over the loop just to secure it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33103 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/diy-shark-frame2-580x495.jpg\" alt=\"DIY Shark Frame - made with recyclables.
