Dollar Store Craft’s Facebook group<\/a>, you really should! \u00a0I get so many fun ideas and am often inspired by the other crafters in the group. \u00a0Not too long ago, someone posted pictured of Princess inspired wine glasses. \u00a0Someone asked how to make them, and I offered to make a tutorial for the project. \u00a0It took a while, but here it is: \u00a0how to make glittery princess wine glasses!<\/p>\n![\"glitter](\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/glitter-painted-glass-580x460.jpg\")

Project Estimate:<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Wine glass – $1<\/li>\n
- Glossy glass paint- $2.50<\/li>\n
- glitter glass paint – $2.50<\/li>\n
- Printout – free<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Total: \u00a0$6<\/strong><\/p>\nYou could cut down on the cost by simply using the glitter glass paint. \u00a0I like using a gloss color first just because it makes the project quicker and you don’t need to apply as many layers. \u00a0You can achieve the same look with just the glitter paint, but you’ll have to apply more layers of paint. \u00a0The key to getting an even finish with glass paint is to apply multiple thin layers and to allow each layer to dry completely before adding more paint. \u00a0If you put too much paint at once it tends to look streaky or you chip paint off.<\/p>\n

Step one: \u00a0Paint the stem with the gloss blue paint. \u00a0Let it dry, then add another layer of paint.<\/p>\n

Step two: \u00a0Paint over the blue paint with the glitter paint. \u00a0Apply three layers of paint.<\/p>\n

Step three: \u00a0Print out a silhouette if the desired princess figure. \u00a0Tape it inside the glass. \u00a0Use a fine tip brush and repeat steps one and two.<\/p>\n

Follow the directions on the package to set the paint permanently. \u00a0Usually you have to let it dry for about three days, then place the glass in a cold oven and bake according to package instructions. Once the paint is set you can use the glass regularly without worrying about scraping off the paint. \u00a0Then you can enjoy your custom made glass!<\/p>\n
