This is my first project for them!<\/p>\n<p>Make simple and fun printed gift wrap using foam stickers purchased at the dollar store! The fun part! Decide which stickers you want to use, and <strong>stick them to the rolling pin<\/strong>. You can use random stickers in a random pattern, or precise placement for a more orderly look. Kids of almost any age can participate in sticker-sticking, too!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a03rolling3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3929\" title=\"HM-a03rolling3\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a03rolling3-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a03rolling3\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Protect your surface<\/strong> with newspaper, or freezer paper (paper side up). Tape down. I recommend using masking tape because it\u2019s easy to remove from both your counter and the paper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonus:<\/strong> when you\u2019re done with the project, roll a quick design on the surface protection, and use for wrapping paper!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a10rollingpin4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3930\" title=\"HM-a10rollingpin4\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a10rollingpin4-300x135.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a10rollingpin4\" width=\"300\" height=\"135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a10rollingpin4-300x135.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a10rollingpin4.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. Tape down freezer paper alongside your printing surface, shiny side up. You will use this to ink your prepared rolling pin. <strong>Pour paint on freezer paper in desired colors<\/strong>. (Note: if you don\u2019t have freezer paper, use plastic wrap, or foil).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a11rollingpin5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3931\" title=\"HM-a11rollingpin5\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a11rollingpin5-300x145.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a11rollingpin5\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. You might want to spread the paint out a bit more, using a piece of cardboard (from a cereal box, etc.), and then <strong>gently roll your rolling pin over the paint<\/strong> until the stamps are all covered in paint.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a12rollingpin6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3925\" title=\"HM-a12rollingpin6\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a12rollingpin6-300x214.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a12rollingpin6\" width=\"300\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>6. <strong>Gently roll prepared rolling pin over paper<\/strong>! Re-ink when needed.<\/p>\n<p>7. Hang your printed paper up on a clothesline to dry, or use masking tape to attach to cupboards. <strong>(Tip: Use washable paint to make for easy cleanup!)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a01blackprint.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3932\" title=\"HM-a01blackprint\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a01blackprint-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a01blackprint\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a01blackprint-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a01blackprint.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alternately, make single stamps. This would be a better activity for small kids, since a small stamp is easier for small hands to work with.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a14rollingpin8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3933\" title=\"HM-a14rollingpin8\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a14rollingpin8-300x298.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a14rollingpin8\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>Stick sticker <\/strong>to a very flat, sturdy object. I used a metal lid from a peanut butter jar. Another good option would be a small block.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a04rolling9.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3934\" title=\"HM-a04rolling9\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a04rolling9-300x231.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a04rolling9\" width=\"300\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a04rolling9-300x231.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/HM-a04rolling9.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Ink the stamp<\/strong> using paint. I found that it was easiest to get good coverage with a paintbrush. You will need to re-ink the stamp about every three stamps.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/HM-a05rolling9b.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3921\" title=\"HM-a05rolling9b\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/HM-a05rolling9b-300x229.jpg\" alt=\"HM-a05rolling9b\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Stamp away<\/strong>!
