I made some quick and easy and &#8220;low cal&#8221; Twinkie bon-bons for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohdeedoh.com\/ohdeedoh\/how-to-make-chocolate-dipped-twinkie-bonbons-home-hacks-108505\">Ohdeedoh<\/a>. These are really entertaining to make, and you can personalize them in so many ways. They look like cute bon-bons straight out of a French patisserie, and would be great party food for nearly any event including tea parties, Mother&#8217;s Day, birthdays, weddings, showers, etc. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohdeedoh.com\/ohdeedoh\/how-to-make-chocolate-dipped-twinkie-bonbons-home-hacks-108505\">click here for instructions<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Project Estimate:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Box of 100 Calorie Twinkie packs (has 18 bites in it), $3<\/li>\n<li>Candy melts or Almond Bark, $1 and up (I got mine candy melts in the bulk food section of my grocery store)<\/li>\n<li>Colorful sprinkles, $1 and up<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate chips, $2 and up<\/li>\n<li>Food coloring paste (I used <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Wilton-Piece-Icing-Color-Set\/dp\/B0000CFN0Y\/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&amp;s=grocery&amp;qid=1266360618&amp;sr=8-4\">Wilton&#8217;s<\/a>), optional (but DON&#8217;T use liquid food coloring), on hand<\/li>\n<li>Candy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000MS798G?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=dolstocra-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B000MS798G\">flavoring oils<\/a>* (NOT extract), optional<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0035HTJPM?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=dolstocra-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0035HTJPM\">Mini cupcake wrappers<\/a>, optional<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Total: $3 and up<\/strong> for 18 bon-bons, depending on what you have on hand. I had everything but the Twinkie bites.<\/p>\n<p>*<strong>Flavor oil: <\/strong>I linked to a 24 pack of Lorann flavor oils (about $1 each bottle). These are great for the casual candy-maker. If you start making tons of candy, you&#8217;ll want to upgrade to a different brand. You can also use these as lip balm flavorings! These flavors can also be found in limited quantities in the candy-making aisles of your favorite big-box or craft store. You can also use some essential oils for flavor oils. They must be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libertynatural.com\/info\/eoinfo\/FDA_EO_GRAS.htm\">GRAS<\/a> (<strong>g<\/strong>enerally <strong>r<\/strong>ecognized <strong>a<\/strong>s <strong>s<\/strong>afe for consumption), and include but are not limited to: Anise (black licorice flavor), cinnamon, clove, coffee, ginger, lavender, lemon, lime, peppermint, vanilla.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style
