No? Guess I&#8217;m the only one. Here&#8217;s a quick and simple favor for St. Patrick&#8217;s Day, using stuff from the dollar store. You can make one of these for less than fifty cents. I made this with the little metal buckets from the wedding aisle at Dollar Tree, and I imagine this being a fun addition to your kids&#8217; lunch or maybe a fun surprise for when they wake up on St. Patrick&#8217;s Day.\u00a0 It&#8217;d also be a fun scout or classroom craft (maybe you can substitute the candy out for something else &#8211; pretend coins for learning to add and subtract with money?) I also added a <a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbowprintable.pdf\">printable rainbow<\/a> (8 rainbows to a sheet) to make it even easier for you to craft with your kids.<\/p>\n<p>You probably don&#8217;t need much in the way of instructions, but here&#8217;s the cost estimate:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Project Materials:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wedding favor buckets, 3 for $1<\/li>\n<li>Craft felt and\/or craft foam, on hand or $1<\/li>\n<li>Bamboo skewer, on hand or $1<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Gold&#8221; candy, $1<\/li>\n<li>Craft glue (I used Aleene&#8217;s Quick Dry or hot glue will work), on hand<\/li>\n<li>Markers, on hand<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Total: $2 and up<\/strong> for 3<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">To make:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cut out a band of green felt or foam (or use ribbon) that will go all the way around the top of the bucket.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cuttingsquare.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5095\" title=\"cuttingsquare\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cuttingsquare.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"314\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cuttingsquare.jpg 314w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cuttingsquare-300x255.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 314px) 100vw, 314px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cut out a square of yellow felt or foam. Fold in half, and cut two slits (not all the way to the edge of the square). Thread band through the square &#8220;buckle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Glue band and buckle to top of bucket.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbowprintable.pdf\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5097\" title=\"rainbow\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbow-300x232.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbow-300x232.png 300w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbow-768x594.png 768w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbow-580x449.png 580w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbow.png 782w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To make rainbow, draw a rainbow or <a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rainbowprintable.pdf\">download my printable<\/a>.
