I sent the <a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/challenge\/#secret\">Super Secret Stash<\/a> packages out last week, and have gotten notes from several of the lucky 10 recipients that they&#8217;ve received their packages.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stashblue.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n[the blue stash]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Choosing the Applicants: <\/strong>Over 300 people applied to be involved in this challenge, and there was no way I could choose who should receive a package, so I just had random.org choose my recipients for me. Nine of you were from the USA, one was from Canada, although we had applicants from 11 countries* including South Africa, Malta, and Ireland. I was so blown away by the response, so thanks for applying, and I will be sure to do more fun activities like this in the future!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stashgreen.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n[the green stash]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Busting My Stash:<\/strong> I went through my stash and came up with several boxes full of stuff to send to the applicants. I put some things from the dollar store, and a lot of other stuff that isn&#8217;t from the dollar store but is just in my crafting stash. I didn&#8217;t include much fabric because the envelopes were full before I even got to my fabric stash. I included some very random things from the early days (including <a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/2008\/10\/dollar-scores-8\/\">my first dollar store shopping trip<\/a>) of this blog, like a tattoo sleeve.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stashmetallic.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n[the metallic-black-white stash]<\/p>\n<p><strong>What was in the envelopes:<\/strong> To put a little order to the chaos, I sorted stuff into pile by color,  so people would (mostly) receive stuff in a specific color family to  help inspire their crafting. One or two of the envelopes were less  strong in color, but had other things unifying the contents (like  &#8220;metallic&#8221;). One of the envelopes was just a bunch of random stuff,  which I sent to <a href=\"http:\/\/waxeloquentbyheather.blogspot.com\/\">Heather<\/a> because I thought she would do a good job with the assortment.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stashpink.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n[the pink stash]<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nThe Lucky 10: <\/strong>Some of the lucky 10 are still setting up blogs or don&#8217;t have them, but I&#8217;ll link to them when they&#8217;re available. I want to give them the opportunity to reveal themselves. I have heard from:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stashred.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n[the red stash]<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/floribunda.blogspot.com\/2010\/04\/big-mail-day.html\"><strong>Julie<\/strong> from Floribunda, who posted pics<\/a> of her envelope contents: the red stuff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah<\/strong> from <a href=\"http:\/\/pinklimecreations.blogspot.com\/\">Pink Lime Creations<\/a> let me know she received her envelope.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mich L.<\/strong> who <a href=\"http:\/\/mlinla.blogspot.com\/\">set up a blog<\/a> just to participate, and has <a href=\"http:\/\/mlinla.blogspot.com\/2010\/04\/sneak-peek.html\">already posted<\/a> several amazing posts and <a href=\"http:\/\/mlinla.blogspot.com\/2010\/04\/supersecretstashbusting-challenge.html\">projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stashpurple.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n[the purple stash]<\/p>\n<p>p.s.
