I thought these copper things were cool looking when I found them at the dollar store, and I imagined they&#8217;d make a humorous kitchen wreath. I can&#8217;t tell if I love it or hate it. I keep telling myself it&#8217;s very Anthropologie (I&#8217;m pretty sure they&#8217;d make the copper thingies into a fabulous display. Not so sure I rose to the Anthro level with this particular project). So, what do you think? Flop or fabulous? Would you make one? Three for a dollar! I used four packages to make this wreath (although an extra package wouldn&#8217;t have hurt).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Project Estimate:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Floral foam wreath, $1<\/li>\n<li>Kraft paper (or other paper), $1 or on hand<\/li>\n<li>4 packages of dish scrubbies (3 per package), $4<\/li>\n<li>Hot glue gun &amp; glue sticks, on hand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Total: $4 and up<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Maybe this wreath would be better if I added <a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/2010\/04\/paper-towel-flowers\/\">paper towel flowers<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/2010\/05\/make-a-tea-wreath\/\">tea<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6016\" title=\"scrubberwreath-supplies03\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies03.jpg 500w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies03-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think these scrubbies are kinda pretty and sparkly, though.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How to make it:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6018\" title=\"scrubberwreath-supplies05\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies05.jpg 400w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies05-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>1.<strong> Cover a green floral wreath with kraft paper strips<\/strong>. I have a roll of brown kraft paper from the mailing supplies display at Dollar Tree, and it is in my top five favorite supplies from the dollar store. You get a lot of it, and you can use it for all kinds of crafting.<\/p>\n<p>I covered the green wreath with paper so it would blend better with the copper scrubbies. You can also use a different type of wreath form (that doesn&#8217;t have to be covered).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6017\" title=\"scrubberwreath-supplies04\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies04.jpg 400w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-supplies04-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>To cut the kraft paper strips<\/strong>: cut an 18&#8243; piece of paper from the roll. Let it roll up onto itself, and cut through the roll in 3\/4&#8243; strips.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To wrap the wreath:<\/strong> Anchor the end of a strip on the wreath with hot glue. Wrap strip of paper around wreath, overlapping each strip a bit to completely cover the wreath. Glue the end of each strip to the wreath, and repeat process until entire wreath is covered.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6014\" title=\"scrubberwreath\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath.jpg 500w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Hot glue scrubbies<\/strong> to the top of the wreath.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6012\" title=\"scrubberwreath02\" src=\"http:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath02.jpg 400w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath02-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/dollarstorecrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/scrubberwreath02-399x599.jpg 399w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. You could stop there, but I added scrubbies around the edge of the wreath, too.<\/p>\n<p>I always have trouble photographing things that are supposed to hang on the wall, so I hung this on my oven. I think it kinda looks cute there, though. Not that it can actually hang on the front of the oven. Embellish as desired.
